Our Story

From Punjab to London

My name is Navneet, and Navish Nails is something deeply personal to me.

I was born and raised in Punjab, India, where my family didn’t have much growing up. Money was always something we had to be careful with, and luxuries weren’t things we could simply take for granted. From a young age, I learned to appreciate what I had and understand the value of money.

My family later made the huge decision to move to the UK in search of better opportunities and a better future. Starting again in a completely different country wasn’t easy, but watching my family work incredibly hard to build a new life shaped the person I am today.

It taught me something I’ve carried with me ever since: where you start doesn’t have to determine where you end up.

How Navish Started

As I got older, nails and beauty became one of my favourite ways to express myself.

I loved that feeling of having a fresh set of nails. It’s such a small thing, but somehow it can make you feel so much more put together and confident.

What I didn’t love was how expensive keeping up with them became.

Regular salon appointments added up quickly, and many of the more affordable alternatives I tried either didn’t have the designs I wanted or simply didn’t give me that same feeling.

Having grown up knowing what it’s like when money is tight, I kept thinking: why should feeling good about your nails have to cost so much?

I wanted something that looked beautiful, felt special and gave me the freedom to change my nails whenever I wanted — without constantly paying salon prices.

So, at 20 years old, I decided to create it myself.

That’s how Navish Nails began.

Why Navish?

The name means more to me than most people probably realise.

Navish combines Nav, from my name, Navneet, with lavish.

To me, it represents exactly what I want this brand to be: a little piece of luxury that doesn’t need a luxury price tag.

I want you to be able to find a set for an ordinary day, a birthday, a holiday, a night out or simply because you feel like changing your look.

No waiting weeks for another appointment. No feeling guilty about how much you’ve spent. Just beautiful nails, on your terms.

More Than Just Nails

When I look at Navish today, I don’t just see a nail brand.

I see the journey from my childhood in Punjab, to starting a new life in the UK, to becoming a 20-year-old woman building something of my own.

I’m still at the beginning of that journey, and that’s what makes this so exciting.

Every person who places an order, recommends Navish to a friend or chooses one of our sets is becoming a small part of a story that means more to me than I can put into words.

I hope Navish gives you that same little feeling of confidence I’ve always loved about having my nails done — without making that feeling unnecessarily expensive.

Thank you for being part of my journey.
